Mr. Justice Sardar Muhammad Nawaz Khan born at village Pothi Makwalan, Tehsil Rawalakot District Poonch on 1st January, 1948. He completed his earlier education from Govt. High School Rawalakot and Graduation from Punjab University Lahore in 1969. He did his LLB Degree from Sindh Muslim Law College, Karachi, and joined legal practice at Rawalakot in 1972.
He was enrolled as Advocate of the High Court on 27th April 1976 and as Advocate of the Supreme Court on 22nd June 1982. He took oath of the office of Judge Shariat Court on 28th October, 1997 and became permanent Judge of the High Court on 30th January, 2002. His Lordship took oath as Acting Chief Justice of High Court on 28th September, 2006 and was retired on 31st December, 2009.
