High Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Circuit Kotli

A circuit bench of the High Court was started at Kotli vide Govt. Notification dated 29-1-1979. There was no separate building for it and when the Hon Judges of the High Court were on tour, they used to sit in the Court rooms of District Judge as well as in the rooms of Civil and Senior Civil Judges for which the function of the subordinate judiciary was affected. The govt. transferred the building of Custodian Department Rest house to the High Court where the High Court functions now.
