Former Hon'ble Chief Justice

Mr. Justice Khan Abdul Hamid Khan was born on 15th October, 1907. His Lordship was appointed as Puisne Judge of High Court of AJ&K on 13th November 1954 and took oath of the office of Puisne Judge of High Court of AJ&K on 23rd November 1954. His Lordship was appointed as Chief Justice of High Court of Azad Jammu & Kashmir on 17th July, 1963 and took oath as Chief Justice of High Court of Azad Jammu & Kashmir on 1st October, 1963. He was retired on 13th October, 1964 as Chief Justice of High Court of Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
His Lordship served as President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir from 7th August, 1964 to 7th October, 1969. He also served as First Prime Minister of Azad Jammu & Kashmir from June 1975 to August 1977.
