Mr. Justice Sardar Muhammad Sharif Khan was born on 10th June, 1921. He was appointed as Judge High Court of AJ&K on 9th March, 1975 and took oath of the office of Judge High Court of AJ&K on 16th March 1975. Bedsides his duties as Judge of High Court of AJ&K, He was also given charge as Custodian (additional charge) on 19th May, 1975.
His Lordship was appointed as Acting Chief Justice of High Court of Azad Jammu & Kashmir on 30th April, 1980 and became confirmed Chief Justice of High Court of AJ&K on 5th June, 1983 and was retired on 9th June, 1983.
